We had some problems accepting comments on the blog here, but everything is back up now, so keep those comments coming. Sorry about the outage.

Was it related to the recent spike in blog comment spam activity that I'm seeing?

No, just some minor misconfiguration on our end. I'm certainly seeing an increase on my personal blog (Akismet is handling that pretty well, though).

The driving directions to my location are incorrect on yahoo maps. The location is 130 NC Hwy 801 South Advance, NC 27006. It should show up on Peachtree Lane off Hwy 801 South, not down Hwy 801 in between Carter Rd. and Bing Crosby Blvd. Please contact me as to how this can be resolved. Thank you.

I would have guessed for blog spam attacks as well... I just deleted 130,000 trackbacks I got before they went to Akismet on my marketingFan.com blog

I've recently learned of, and starting perusing the YUI javascript widgets. My first impression is a good one.
As far as any comments I have - I'd like to see more data entry type widgets rolled into your API. Like a Date and Time Control, Email Text control, TEXTAREA like control - that allows certain properties to be set to effect behavior.
Basically - if its your goal to make a nice base set of controls with either a uniform look and feel or uniform method of controlling appearance so people can devise web pages with uniform look and feel - well - then perhaps even the basic controls could use a face lift as well. I'm referring to form tags in general. With more and more hosted applications becoming the norm - let's get this wheel written once - and written well. Go Yahoo :)

I'd love to be able to access Yahoo Calendar via Java and PHP. Maybe even .Net/C#/C++.
