Interviews at Defrag: Pierre Wielezynski | World Bank.org

The World Bank has developed the BuzzMonitor, an open source application that "listens" to what people are saying about the World Bank across blogs and other sites in order to help the organization understand and engage in social media. Jeremy sat down with Pierre Guillaume Wielezynski at Defrag and talked about how the World Bank is using this as a tool for non-profit organizations, NGOs, foundations and think-tanks to see and hear what people are saying about them, their programs and understand the perception around important issues.

Jeremy, Ricky,

It was nice seeing you at Defrag, thanks for the video. I hope developers download, use, and improve the buzzmonitor.

Cheers,
PG

This looks like a great tool. It is amazing that the Worldbank, which we normally associate with a "big" machine, actually provides the space for someone to develop something as innovative (and open source on top of it!) as BuzM...!

Well done!

P.
