NYTimes Open with Derek Gottfrid

"All the code that's fit to printf( )" - so goes the tagline on the NYTimes.com Open blog. The NYTimes.com developer site is about "open-source technology at The New York Times, written by and primarily for developers." Recently, the "Times" launched the TimesPeople API, which allows you to retrieve TimesPeople data for a particular user, including the user's profile, activities, news feed and network. We sat down with Derek Gottfrid, Senior Software Architect to talk about their first Times Open event today and also learn a little about what the NYTimes is doing in the developer community:
