No worries Dima, there are never any stupid questions here. Basically, there are a few methods you can use for updating that are visible now:

1. Updates
This adds an update to the bottom right box at http://profiles.yahoo.com for the specified user. Connections of that user will see these updates. This updates will comprise a title, optional description and a link.

2. Presence
Again, on profiles.yahoo.com right beside your picture is a place to set your status (e.g. Jonathan is doing such and such today). The SDK will allow you to set this field.

As the platform grows and new featuers are pushed out, you will begin to see integration of these elements within other properties on Yahoo!.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Jonathan LeBlanc
Senior Software Engineer
Yahoo!
