I am not sure I understand your question about the hidden form, can you elaborate?

Hello: I'm having a problem with all of my yahoo group accounts. when I go to post I get a popup box that states "would you like to share all of your activities in this yahoo group" It has a yes and a no thanks option although it doesn't matter which i choose as it locks up my browser either way. can anyone help? I run safari as a browser on a mac.

Okay, so here's a question...
Has anyone else been having trouble checking their yahoo! mail today? I've tried to check several of my accounts, and each time I get to the mail homepage, my browser locks up. I generally use IE, but I also tried Firefox, and the same thing happened... This is very frustrating.

Hi,

I'm getting HTTP Error 500 when I try to add an update. I'm getting the following response error:

I'm using the PHP SDK from Yahoo! Social API SDKs (http://developer.yahoo.com/social/sdk/#php), this SDK uses json son to insert the update and it looks like correct.

Yes I do. I've tried other APIs like Yahoo! Status( Read and Write fine) and Yahoo! Profiles (Just Read but fine). I'm only having problems with Yahoo! Updates to write a new update, using JSON or XML the response error is the same "Error parsing request body(Invalid APP or Invalid Data)".

I can't figure out what's wrong. I think it's happening maybe because I'm using an Application registered as Client/Desktop. Could it be because of this?

The desktop app might be the reason. Could you please post a code snippet where you are instantiating the Yahoo! OAuth session and then trying to post an update? I'll run it through a few test apps and see if I can narrow down a solution for you.

Hi all,

I really think updates is the new and nice social approach from Yahoo!. Today i was going through the Yahoo! news site and saw this cool update side bar.

Although its on Yahoo! property page but it would be good to be able to put this kind of pre-build update sidebar on variety of sites like blogger and other personal and commercial sites. Just like Yahoo! pingbox. We have Yahoo! updates API's but it will be good to have embed src, customized based on user requirements.

Hi Jon,

I'm using a custom OAuth implementation.

I'm using Java with a library developed by me an my coworkers, OAuth authentication is working fine, I can get user information, list user updates.

Basically when I use GET or POST methods, no problem, but when I user PUT or DELETE I get the 400 error code.

Are you using the Java OAuth library from Google code (http://oauth.googlecode.com/svn/code/java/core/) in your implementation? If so, there was a recent library update to Java to integrated PUT / DELETE support - so if this is the case you may want to start by obtaining the most recent OAuth library to see if that works.

If not, if you can post your error log that would be great for helping us nail down the issue.

I was trying to fetch flickr , buzz and some app ( mafia ) updates using social APIS but i am getting error " Please provide valid credentials ".The api url on which i am making a curl call is "http://social.yahooapis.com/v1/user/$guid/updates.source(flickr)?format=json" . I am able to fetch my profile update using the same thing i.e in that case i am not facing ny problem . Ny help plz ? and where can i find exact source string for each yahoo property ( like for flickr it's is flickr )

Signing can be a tricky and complex thing. Are you able to dump the request/response you made with headers?
